Crown and Bridge
A crown is a cap used to cover a tooth with a big restoration or cracked tooth. Crowns restore the shape, appearance, size, and function of a tooth. Crowns are relatively affordable. They are a good option if your tooth has a minor fracture, slight discoloration, chipped edges, malformation, or the gap between teeth is large.
Our dentists recommend different materials for crowns based on the location, function, and esthetics needed in the mouth.
The procedure for crowns is as short as two dental visits. First, the dentist prepares and shaves down the tooth minimally and takes an impression of it to create a crown for you. After a week, the dental laboratory sends the crown and the dentist makes all adjustments accordingly before permanently cementing it.
A veneer is also a special kind of crown that only covers the facing part of the tooth and can close gaps, cover the discoloration or change tooth appearance to some extent.
Bridges can also replace missing teeth. The process involves an artificial tooth, known as pontic placed between the two teeth to obtain the required results.
